One of the big disappointments to many users of the PlayBook at launch was the lack of a native email app. Now, it looks like at least one third-party developer has been working on a solution. The app, which is called aMail has been submitted to App World and is currently waiting for approval. The aMail app comes courtesy of AiFlex and is noted as being a “native email for multiple accounts in one easy to use app.” In terms of support, the aMail app offers support for any IMAP, SMTP and POP3 account and will come with preset configurations for Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and Live accounts. AiFlex has even offered up a video (see below) of the aMail app in action while everyone waits to see if RIM will give it the thumbs up. We'll keep you posted on any changes.
